Technical and adult high school programs are accredited and Chattanooga State Technical Community College offers excellent undergraduate courses. Area schools show strong volunteer involvement and Chattanooga’s Adopt-A-School program is nationally recognized. The area has many outstanding private schools and colleges. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga offers undergraduate and graduate level courses. Chattanooga boasts a nationally known Boys Choir, a Regional History museum, Symphony and Opera, Little Theater, Houston Antique Museum, Hunter Art Museum, and Council for Performing Arts and Humanities. Miller Plaza Urban Park hosts approximately 220 cultural events each year. Riverbend Festival is a 9 day community celebration focusing of the arts and drawing over 200,000 annually.
